Mr India gets some bad publicity
Pravesh Rana, who was crowned Haywards 5000 Mr India 2008 in February this year, launched his official website in Mumbai yesterday.
According to this press release, “Friends & well-wishers from Bollywood, media, fashion fraternity & the corporate world turned up in large numbers to congratulate the most desirable man of India & close friend and CEO Brandsmith, Rahul Mittra for this initiative.” However there are no photographs of the event nor any media coverage to prove the fact that the event actually took place. It just seems to be a marketing strategy.
The site on the other hand is a miserable piece of work. The portfolio and media clips sections are just plain empty. The only information available on the site is a brief write up about the model copy-pasted from a previous press release and contact information of his agents who have developed this site. In short, the site is a total waste of time.
What’s more disturbing is the fact that a person of such a high caliber and supposed to represent India at the world level is getting bad publicity due to their agents’ immature strategies.
